Alan Shelby was born and raised in Kansas City, and born again after hearing the gospel while watching a Billy Graham television crusade. He attended Hickman Mills High School and Calvary Bible College. He has been involved in college and career ministry since 1980, and on the staff at the Kansas City Baptist Temple since 1988. Alan is a graduate of Luther Rice Seminary. He and his wife, Dalona, have two daughters, Alison and Jessica.
