Cinco de Mayo

We spent a few hours out on the streets today at a Cinco de Mayo celebration. Lots of Hispanics out on the streets at a parade and small block party afterwards. Not a lot of opportunity to preach open-air, but we passed out a lot of tracts and got to witness to several people (like my friend Astrid in the picture above).

We had a great time, met a lot of neat people, and ate food that just about burned a hole in our mouths (but... WOW! ...it was tasty!).

We took another day to go down to the KU campus and bar district to witness. Cold, windy, and wet! But, God is good and we were able to witness to several people. You check out pics and short write-up here, if you'd like:

Yesterday a few of us from church went down to the Kansas University campus to see if we could find or make some opportunities to witness. We found plenty of opportunties, and we also made some! God is good and His Word will not return void!

As many of you know, I have returned to the States after 15 years of ministry in Latin America. God has graciously allowed me to start and pastor a church in my home town of Kansas City (southern Johnson County). However, I think I will forever desire to minister the Gospel and God's Word in Latin America.

Every since returning to the States in December of 2010, I have had Juarez, Mexico, on my mind. And that is the reason I'm writing this post: I would like to pray with you all about taking and trip to Juarez, with people from my church here, to preach the Gospel on the streets. I would love to serve with a local church of like mind and doctrine so we can refer people to a church where they can receive edification through sound doctrine and the loving fellowship of the saints. If anyone could put me in contact with someone in Juarez that would be willing to work with me, please contact me so we can pray together. Thank you! ~Greg

¡Gracias! ~Gregory
